2011 Study season

 

Following five years of fieldwork excavations at Palaepaphos, it was considered necessary to undertake a study season of the material unearthed during the previous expeditions. The 2011 season, which took place between the 29th August - 16th September, focused on the study of the Late Bronze Age pottery excavated at the sites of Marcello and Hadjiabdullah between the years 2006-2010. The selected material was also drawn and hotographed.

Following the 2011 study season, two articles were submitted for publication in the Report of the Department of Antiquities, Cyprus. The articles authored by Susan Sherratt and Artemis Georgiou include a catalogue of the Late Bronze Age pottery from the 2006-2008 excavations at Marcello and the 2009-2010 excavations at Hadjiabdullah respectively.
